Jeongwoo Cho first started making
guitars and learning his skills in guitar building in 1994. He worked with various guitar companies in South Korea and
ultimately trained for 1O years to become a Master Luthier. His training was in classical guitar building.

Later, Jeongwoo set up his own
workshop at home to rnanufacture high quality, hand-built classical
guitars for the Asian market. Initially sales were predominantly
through guitar teachers, for their students, then more widely following
exhibitions at the Daejeon annual guitar festival.
Jeongwoo has also sold his classical
guitars in Germany through an established classical guitar builder
there.

Jeongwoo had long held a passionate
wish to build a true Selmer replica guitar, and it was in his quest
for suitable machine heads that he contacted Tony Walker at Manouche
Guitars Ltd. Over time, a close association was formed between them
and after many developments and several prototypes, Jeongwoo eventually
hand-built all the production requirements for Manouche Guitars
Ltd.
About 150 jazz guitars have been
built, with seven different models, and Manouche Guitars Ltd. customers
from around the world have been delighted with their Jeongwoo hand-built
guitars.
